A Piece of Rockies History

Chalet Haesler Jr. is named after Christian Haesler Jr., one of the legendary Swiss mountain guides who helped pioneer mountaineering and alpine tourism throughout the Canadian Rockies.

Brought to Canada by the Canadian Pacific Railway, Haesler Jr. became known for leading numerous early expeditions and first ascents across the region's peaks, helping establish the Rockies as an internationally recognized mountaineering destination.

Today, his former chalet continues that legacy by welcoming guests into a place deeply connected to the history of mountain exploration in Western Canada.
