A Piece of Rockies History

Chalet Heimann was once home to the Heimann sisters — Clara, Johanna, and Martha — who became an important part of the Swiss Guides community after arriving in Golden in 1912.

Known for their warmth and hospitality, the sisters played a meaningful role in the social and cultural fabric of the early mountain community. Clara Heimann later operated a local tea house popular among climbers and visitors exploring the region.
