Edelweiss Village + Resort

Our Story

It takes a village.

A place shaped by history, hospitality, and landscape.

The Snapshot

More than just a place to stay.

Edelweiss Village + Resort is a collection of six historic chalets set across 53 acres in the Canadian Rockies near Golden, British Columbia. But more than that, it is a place shaped by atmosphere, mountain culture, thoughtful hospitality, and a deep connection to the landscape around it.

From the beginning, Edelweiss has never been about volume, spectacle, or overproduced tourism. The experience here is intentionally different. More grounded. More personal. More connected to the feeling people are actually searching for when they come to the mountains.

Guests arrive for many reasons. Some come for skiing, hiking, biking, alpine adventure, and world-class wilderness experiences. Others come to slow down, reconnect, celebrate, gather, or simply breathe a little deeper for a few days. Most discover a balance of both.

What makes Edelweiss special is not just the location, although the location is extraordinary. It is the way the experience unfolds. The breathing room between chalets. The feeling of returning from a mountain day to a fire and quiet conversation. The balance between immersion in nature and intentional comfort. The sense that every part of the stay has been considered carefully without ever feeling performative.

There is history woven into the village, but Edelweiss is not stuck in the past. The property continues to evolve thoughtfully, building on its alpine roots while creating a more refined and meaningful modern mountain experience for today's travelers.

At its core, Edelweiss is about creating the kind of place people genuinely want to return to. A place that feels restorative, welcoming, atmospheric, and deeply connected to the mountains that surround it.

The History

A story still being written

The History

Edelweiss is rooted in generations of alpine history and mountain culture, while continuing to evolve through thoughtful restoration, elevated hospitality, and a long-term vision for the future.

The goal is not to preserve the past exactly as it was, but to carry its character forward in a meaningful way.

The Philosophy

Hospitality with intention

The Philosophy

We believe meaningful stays are shaped by atmosphere, space, and thoughtful hospitality. The experience should feel personal, grounded, and connected to the landscape around it.

Not overdone. Not transactional. Simply well considered from beginning to end.
